As winter departs, welcoming spring, the trails start embracing lush green shade. The meadows are decorated with vibrant wildflowers, and the mountain views are crisp and clear in spring. 

With Cherry Blossoms and Rhododendrons turning the trails pink and red, the view teleports you to a land of fairytales. The season also offers a perfect setting for campsites with most of them covered with colorful flowers. 

Every trek has its distinguished beauty, however, a few Himalayan spring treks stand out as must-do treks. On these select treks, you experience the greenery served with perfection on meadows, unparalleled views of the mountain peaks, and enchanting forest trails.

You will have entire mountains covered with rhododendrons on the Khopra Ridge trek. The country is home to not only the world’s highest mountain but also the treks with grandeur mountain views. Trekking in Nepal is synonymous with the famed Everest Base Camp, and the popular trail of Annapurna Basecamp. Dodital-Darwa-Dayara is one of the rarest treks that offer you the best of both worlds. While the trail from Dodital to Darwa Pass is easy, the hike to Dayara Bugyal is challenging and demands you put your best foot forward. Besides, the sacred Dodital Lake adds more charm to this trek.

The trail goes through the dense and dark forests of the Deodar, Rhododendrons, and Oak trees. You can also see Dayara Bugyal and Bandarpoonch Massif in the background as you go ahead. After trekking for a few hours, you will reach Dodital which is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha, son of Shiva and Parvati.

Darwa Pass is beyond treeline and offers you panoramic views of the various mountaintops including Kaala Naag, Draupadi ka Danda, Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini group, Srikanta, Jaonli, and many more. You can get clearer views of the Gangotri group of mountains from the top of the summit. Besides, it has a beautiful trail surrounded by alpine meadows and various coniferous forests.

7. Sandakphu Trek– West Bengal

Sandakphu is one of the most loved treks by trekkers of different levels and experiences. Touted as a trek with a grandeur view of the world’s tallest mountains, Sandakphu is thronged by trekkers of all ages. The view Sandakphu offers at an altitude of 11,950 ft. makes it easier for trekkers to enjoy the enthralling sight of the big mountains on this moderate trek.

Sandakphu offers you the view of the world’s tallest mountain, Everest, along with Lhotse and Makalu, the world’s fourth and fifth tallest mountains. While the view of Everest mesmerizes you, Sandakphu is renowned for the magical view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and its peaks, popularly known as ‘Sleeping Buddha’.

8. Phulara Ridge Trek – Uttarakhand

The trek is coupled with a beautiful forest trail and an exclusive walk on the ridge.
