Coorg Cultural Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Touch Down in Coorg and visit a private waterfall

You will reach Kodagu(Coorg) late at lunch time. On reaching, you will drop your luggage in your respective rooms. We all will have home-grown nutritious lunch(veg/non veg) .

Post this, we will leave towards a waterfall in the dense jungle. We will spend some quality time here gauging over the great waterfall and talk about the abundance of nature that already exists. We will also have a dip in the waterfall and spend some time here. We will have a small introductory session about what is going to happen tomorrow.

If time permits, we will go to watch frogs around the night light as the area around this homestay is famous for ‘herpetology’.

Day 2 : Exploring cultural aspects of Coorg

We will start our morning hiking towards a beautiful trail starting from the homestay. The area covers acres of beautiful forest and has diverse flora and fauna. Since the area covers 72 acres of pure forests- a number of birds have homes within the forests. You will get to hear their songs and calls as we delve deeper in the forest through our hike. We will try and absorb as much nature as we can.

After a refreshing hike, we will have home-cooked breakfast at our homestay. We will move upwards from our homestay towards the huge fields of coffee and dense forests. We will have a coffee picking session and see how it is dried and coffee beans are extracted from it, what it takes to maintain such large coffee plantations and where all places does coorg coffee transport to. After a soulful lunch, we will have a small session of pork eating and its significance for the folks of Coorg.

Day 3 : Return towards your homecity

We will get up early at 7am and have a delicious homemade breakfast. Post breakfast we will reflect upon our journey and have the ‘happiest session’ of our experience.

The participants have an array of delicacies to buy from- Coorg coffee, spices, wines and what not. We will begin our return journey post lunch towards Bangalore and then further to your destination.
